2022-23 Coaches Registration

Welcome

Welcome to the 2022-23 Coach Registration

This registration will allow you to provide contact information, sign consents and register as a coach for the 2022-23 Season.  Please read through each page carefully to ensure that all information is provided accurately.

No payment is necessary.

All Coaches and Managers must also register with USA Hockey for the season they intend to coach, provide a current Safe Sport certification number and/or certificate, and provide the date of application for a current background check with NCSI, the company processing the USA Hockey National Screenings.

The link for the USA Hockey National Screening is:  https://www.usahockey.com/backgroundscreen

The link for SafeSport Training Certification is :https://www.usahockey.com/safesporttraining

* You will need to register with USA Hockey first, then go to the SafeSport site.  Sign in or create an account (for new users) and complete SafeSport courses.

*Please use your legal name when registering with USA Hockey, coaching education, SafeSport, and  Background Screenings so all records will combine in the USA Hockey system. Each name variation will create a new record in the USA Hockey system and your certifications and registrations will not connect.

* You MUST complete current SafeSport Certifications/Renewals and  Background Screenings prior to participation in our program.

* Beginning the 2020-21 Season Safe Sport certifications now require an annual renewal. What this means for you: Your certification will only be valid for one year and will require renewal again next year.

* Coaches MUST have the appropriate module completed PRIOR to being placed on a roster.

* Coaches must have current CEP completed by 12/31/22 or they will be redlined as of January 1st. Access to Temp Coaching cards will be more restricted this season.

New FOR 2021-22 Season:

Age Modules will change in the 2021-22 season from the 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U and 16U/18U/19U modules and will combine  some age classifications. The new modules will be 8&Under, 12&Under and 13&Over.

  • Please note this example for the new combined age modules: If you already have a 10U module and are coaching a 10U team you would not need to take the new 12&Under module.  However, if you are coaching a 12U team and do not have the 12U module then you would need to take the new  12&Under module and the 10U and 12U modules are now combined in one.

PLEASE DO NOT ENGAGE IN ANY ON OR OFF ICE COACHING DUTIES WITHOUT COMPLETION OF ALL REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION  REQUIREMENTS.
